Please note:

Customers who have made changes to their Coventry Homefinder Registration through the 'My Social Housing Application' must scroll through all 9 pages of the application form and click 'SUBMIT' at the end of the form for these changes to be sent through for validation.  Coventry Homefinder are unable to authorise these changes unless the form has been submitted completely.

You are able to access your Social Housing Application by going to Login/My Account.

COVENTRY HOMEFINDER HAS CHANGED.

From 24th November 2011 the Coventry Homefinder Service has changed.  The main changes you will see are:

  • Any changes that you need to make to your application - telephone numbers; addresses; household members must now be done through your online application.  Messages sent through your account regarding changes will no longer be responded to.

  • You can now submit and view your application online.  Any changes in your circumstances can be made on your existing application form.  After you have made these changes click submit.  All changes in circumstances will be verified by the Coventry Homefinder team before they go live.
  • You will be able to see the band that you are in by going to your social housing application
  • Updates will be sent to individual accounts - so please make sure you check your account on a regular basis
  • All registrations will be reviewed annually through a message sent to your account. Failure to respond to this will see your application removed from the system
  • Enhanced housing options tool helps you to gain advice and information for services to help with your individual circumstances
  • An interactive map to help you find available properties
  • Apply to rent garages owned by Whitefriars Housing
  • A newsletter listing all available properties
  • A lifetime registration number for all applicants no matter how many applications you make.

In order that you are able to ensure your account is fully up to date Coventry Homefinder recommend that you log in to your account at least every 6 weeks to check for online messages.  The risk of not checking your online account could result in your application being closed.    

Changes to Advertised Properties

Property ref 31225 - Drapers Court (Orbit Heart of England) advertised 12/01/12 - 17/01/12 has been withdrawn as this property has already been advertised (31255). (noted 16/1/12)

Property ref - 31228 - Kenelm Court (Mercian Housing Association) advertised 12/01/12 - 17/01/12 has been withdrawn due to the notice being rescinded. (noted 12/1/12).

Property ref - 16846 - Basford Brook Drive (Jephson Housing Association) advertised 06/10/11 - 11/10/2011 has been withdrawn due to the property being sold. (noted 12/01/2012.)

Bidding for a property

Please note: The bidding cycle starts on a Thursday and ends on a Tuesday each week. You are not able to place bids on a Wednesday.

Mutual Exchange

Coventry Homefinder do not operate a Mutual Exchange system.   There is a national organisation who operate a Mutual Exchange Scheme known as Homeswapper and this can be accessed through their website www.homeswapper.co.uk.  Many of the partner Housing Associations are members of this organisation and existing tenants can participate in the Scheme free of charge.   If your Landlord is not a member of the Scheme there will be a small charge to register.
