If you are in queue position 1 the Housing Association will contact you direct as the Coventry Homefinder Team do not deal directly with the allocation of properties.  Any queries you have relating to properties should be made with the Housing Association who has advertised the property.

Welcome to Coventry Homefinder, the new way of letting housing association properties. Coventry Homefinder is a partnership between Coventry City Council and housing associations in the City. We aim to provide more choice and improved services to our customers.

  WE NOW HAVE  OVER 22000 APPLICANTS REGISTERED ON OUR SYSTEM AND WE ESTIMATE THERE WILL BE IN THE REGION OF 2000 VACANCIES EACH YEAR.  FOR SOME APPLICANTS THERE WILL BE A LONG WAIT FOR HOUSING.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING BEFORE COMPLETING YOUR ONLINE APPICATION:

1.         YOU ARE  ABLE TO REGISTER ON COVENTRY HOMEFINDER FROM  THE AGE OF 16 YEARS.  YOU NEED TO BE AWARE THAT IF YOU ARE SUCCESSFUL IN BIDDING FOR A PROPERTY PRIOR TO YOUR 18th BIRTHDAY  HOUSING ASSOCIATIONS  MAY OVERLOOK YOU  UNTIL YOU REACH THE AGE OF 18 YEARS.

2.        IF YOU COMPLETE AN ONLINE APPLICATION  AND YOU ARE A  PERSON FROM ABROAD AND NOT HABITUALLY RESIDENT IN THE UK IT IS POSSIBLE YOU WILL NOT BE ELIGBLE TO REGISTER.  IF YOU HAVE REASON TO BELIEVE YOU ARE ELIGBLE WHEN COMPLETING THE APPLICATION FORM PLEASE PROVIDE AN EMAIL ADDRESS AS THIS WILL BE THE ONLY FORM OF COMMUNICATION WE WILL USE.

3.        PLEASE NOTIFY US IF YOU HAVE ANY CHANGES IN CIRCUMSTANCES, IF YOU HAVE CHANGED ADDRESS OR YOU HAVE A NEW TELEPHONE NUMBER.  IT IS IMPORTANT YOU KEEP US INFORMED OF YOUR CONTACT DETAILS AS YOU MAY BE OVERLOOKED FOR AN OFFER IF WE CANNOT CONTACT YOU.

4.        IF YOU HAVE RENT ARREARS TO A PARTNER HOUSING ASSOCIATION YOU NEED TO BE AWARE THAT IF YOU ARE SUCCESSFUL IN BIDDING FOR A PROPERTY HOUSING THEY HAVE DIFFERENT CRITERIA AND YOU MAY BE OVERLOOKED FOR A PROPERTY.  PLEASE CONTACT THE HOUSING ASSOCIATION  TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO CLEAR YOUR ARREARS TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT.

5.        IF YOU WISH TO LOOK AT OR DOWNLOAD THE WEEKLY PROPERTY LIST, MEDICAL FORM, CHANGE OF CIRCUMSTANCES PLEASE OPEN FURTHER INFORMATION WHICH IS IN THE MENU AT THE SIDE OF THIS PAGE.

MUTUAL EXCHANGE

This part of the system is not in operation.  You can contact Housing Associations direct to enquire whether they are operating a mutual exchange service.

Existing applicants on our partners' waiting lists have been transferred onto the new Coventry Homefinder register. A letter has been sent to advise all existing applicants of their new registration number and full details of how to use the service. If you are not registered with us you can register on this site. We aim to give you more choice in deciding where you want to live. Properties that are available for rent, will be advertised each week. You can then tell us which properties you are interested in. This process is known as bidding. You may only bid for a property if your application has been accepted onto our housing register. You can then bid for three properties in each week. Properties will be adertised every Wednesday.
