Please note:

Customers who have made changes to their Coventry Homefinder Registration through the 'My Social Housing Application' must scroll through all 9 pages of the application form and click 'SUBMIT' at the end of the form for these changes to be sent through for validation.  Coventry Homefinder are unable to authorise these changes unless the form has been submitted completely.

Please be advised that Coventry Homefinder will not be responding to any messages (emailed or through your online account messaging facility) received regarding changes to customer details.  All changes must be submitted through your online account as detailed above.

You are able to access your Social Housing Application by going to Login/My Account.

COVENTRY HOMEFINDER HAS CHANGED.

From 24th November 2011 the Coventry Homefinder Service has changed.  The main changes you will see are:

  • You can now submit and view your application online.  Any changes in your circumstances can be made on your existing application form.  After you have made these changes click submit.  All changes in circumstances will be verified by the Coventry Homefinder team before they go live.
  • You will be able to see the band that you are in by going to your social housing application
  • Updates will be sent to individual accounts - so please make sure you check your account on a regular basis
  • All registrations will be reviewed annually through a message sent to your account. Failure to respond to this will see your application removed from the system
  • Enhanced housing options tool helps you to gain advice and information for services to help with your individual circumstances
  • An interactive map to help you find available properties
  • Apply to rent garages owned by Whitefriars Housing
  • A newsletter listing all available properties
  • A lifetime registration number for all applicants no matter how many applications you make.

In order that you are able to ensure your account is fully up to date Coventry Homefinder recommend that you log in to your account at least every 6 weeks to check for online messages.  The risk of not checking your online account could result in your application being closed.    

From 4th April 2012 the new Coventry Homefinder Nominations and Lettings Policy replaces the previous policy.  The key changes include:

Statutory Homeless households placed into band 1A for one bidding week

The inclusion of people supported through the National Witness Mobility Scheme

Accommodation Categories changing so that Category 4 is for ground floor properties and Category 5 is for above ground floor properties

Property ref 32210 Eld Road (Midland Heart) advertised 17/05/12 - 22/05/2012 has been withdrawn as advertised in error. (noted 17/05/12).

Property ref 31761 Dersingham Court (Jephson H/A) advertised 03/05/12- 09/05/12 has been withdrawn as advertised in error. It will be re-advertised 17/05/12 - 22/05/12. (noted 16/05/12).

Properties 31760, 31766, 31767 and 31768 Dersingham Court (Jephson H/A) advertised 03/05/12 - 09/05/12 have been withdrawn as advertised in error. Dersingham Court will be advertised again 17/05/12 - 22/05/12. (noted 15/05/12).

Property ref 31167 - St. Georges Road (Midland Heart) advertised 05/01/12 - 10/01/12 has been withdrawn as the property was advertised in error. (noted 11/05/12).

Property ref 32096 - Sydnall Fields (Jephson Housing Assn) advertised 03/05/12 - 08/05/12 has been withdrawn as the property was advertised in error. (noted 11/05/12).

Property ref 31894 - Jamescroft (Whitefriars Housing Group) advertised 05/04/12 - 10/04/12 has been withdrawn as the notice has been rescinded. (noted 24/04/12).

Property ref 31827 - Chester Street (Orbit Heart of England) advertised 22/02/12 - 27/03/12 has been withdrawn due to the notice being rescinded. (noted 05/04/12)

Property ref 17202 - Fir Tree Avenue (Midland Heart) advertised 17/11/11 - 22/11/11 has been withdrawn as advertised in error. (noted 4/3/12).  

Property 31641 - 172 Robin Hood Road (Whitefriars Housing Group) advertised 01/03/2012 - 06/03/2012 has been withdrawn as the notice has been rescinded.  (noted 22/03/2012)

Bidding for a property

Please note: The bidding cycle starts on a Thursday and ends on a Tuesday each week. You are not able to place bids on a Wednesday.

Mutual Exchange

Coventry Homefinder do not operate a Mutual Exchange system.   There is a national organisation who operate a Mutual Exchange Scheme known as Homeswapper and this can be accessed through their website www.homeswapper.co.uk.  Many of the partner Housing Associations are members of this organisation and existing tenants can participate in the Scheme free of charge.   If your Landlord is not a member of the Scheme there will be a small charge to register.
